# What is the difference between a Report and a Dashboard?

A GreyMetrics Report is a snapshot of your data at a particular moment in time.   
Reports can be scheduled to run at regular intervals and shared via email or PDF.   
  
GreyMetric Dashboards operate in real-time, so they'll automatically show you data within your selected timeframe, for example today, the last 7 days, or the last 30 days. Additionally, you can easily share links to your live dashboards with others.
